Ainol unveils NOVO7 Paladin with Android 4.0 ICS for only USD 79

NOVO7 tablet is no longer the world’s cheapest Android 4.0 tablet and it has lost its crown to yet another tablet from China from the same makers. Ainol has rolled out another 7-inch tablet, NOVO7 Paladin, running Ice Cream Sandwich for only $79. While the Ingenic processor and 7 inch form factor is safe and sound, a few important features are nixed to make way for the world’s cheapest ICS tablet at $79.

NOVO 7 Paladin got the Ice Cream Sandwich treat thanks to the Ingenic 1GHz MIPS Xburst CPU just like its big brother NOVO7. It also has 444MHz Vivante GPU, USB ports and microSD card slot, but has to do away with camera to achieve the $79 pricing.

It has the 7-inch capacitive screen with multi touch support and 1080p video capability. It still boasts an excellent battery life with standby time of 300 hours; 25 hours for music play back, 8 hours for video and 7 hours of web browsing.
